Members Only Library – baby steps

Given the limit on cloud storage the Heritage Arms Society Members Research and Reference Library will initially be stored on a dedicated external hard drive. This drive will be backed up each month and an updated index to all available information will be posted on the website and sent out to members with Barrels and Blades.

So how do I access the Library

You must be a financial member of the Society to access any material stored in the online library. To access material simply email heritage.arms.society@gmail.com and ensure that you include your full name, the Author and Complete Title as listed in the Index. Your request will be uploaded within 24 hours, and you will receive a link to download your files onto your home computer. Documents uploaded will be available for a minimum of 48 hours depending on Google Drive space.

Please be patient – this is the trial phase

Depending on demand we may move to a professional drop box account. In the interim, by releasing documents on request, we remove the need for member passwords and logins at least during this initial introductory trial.

Where did the current content come from?

Library content has been donated by members of the Heritage Arms Society. The Society now has a dedicated book scanner so if you are prepared to share a valuable reference but are afraid scanning the book might cause damage, let us know. Our book scanner does not put any pressure on the publication and has the latest curve flattening technology.

What about copyright?

The (H.A.S. Library) is for Members only Research & Reference purposes.

Available material must under no circumstances be publicly distributed and/or onforwarded to a third party.
